The Transitioning Eternity Wedding Bands
Through time, the
eternity wedding bands
has traditionally been an outward physical symbol of the love and commitment shared between two individuals deciding to enter into marriage together. More recently, couples are now allowing the essence of their own individual style and taste to be expressed through their wedding bands, which, in turn, is rapidly expanding the role of the wedding band from more than a symbol of a union but as a statement of fashion and personal style as well.

. The cable and chevron designs, made popular by artists such as David Yurman and Charriol are two of the most popular in the category of the handmade wedding ring. The cable look is accomplished by twisting long strips of metal until it resembles a rope while the chevron look is fabricated by weaving “V” shaped pieces of precious metal to resemble a herringbone necklace or the stripes present on an Army Sargent’s shirt.
Hand engraved bands, the other most popular upcoming style of wedding ring, shares the chevron look with the handmade wedding band, but is fashioned by diamond cutting grooves on angles into the band itself. Through the hand engraved band, a whimsical style of vine and floral patterns has reemerged; reviving a style of craftsmanship not seen in quite some time.
Carved visions of fauna is masterfully inscribed by hand to resemble different types of flowers as they blossom off interwoven stems, interlocking vine designs or even chevron shaped olive leaves.
